Susanna Raiend is a London-based DJ and music curator with roots in Estonia and Sweden. An active contributor between London and Tallinn’s leftfield music scenes, she hosts a monthly show on IDA Radio and has played Sõru Sound Festival, alongside London appearances at NTS, Kindred, Brilliant Corners and Ormside Projects.Her sets move through Detroit house, electro, acid, UK breakbeat, jungle and leftfield club music, with unexpected shifts into dubstep, dub and trap giving her selections a distinct edge. Her core sound is shaped by the Estonian scene and the many impressive artists around IDA Radio, while living in London has opened her selections up to new scenes and sounds, with recent inspiration also coming from the French underground."After all these years of shaping my ear through DJing, radio and digging, I'm now also working on my first production project. It’s something I’ve taken time to begin, partly because finding your own sound can be difficult when so many genres inspire you. But that also opens up space to experiment, play around and discover new directions. No timeline in sight yet for release but having fun with the new challenges and learnings in this world.
