Choupetik is the alias of Sofía Zambrano Álvarez, a Venezuelan DJ, producer, and culture worker living and working in Paris. Her work blends merengue, guaracha, and reggaeton with classic hard techno, aiming to conjure a sentimental and nostalgic escape on the dancefloor for Latinx diaspora in Europe and beyond. She has performed at nightclubs across Europe such as Sala Vol (Barcelona), SNAP festival (Brussels), Boum Marseille and La Machine du Moulin Rouge (Paris).
As co-founder of queer Latinx party series Misantropical alongside Rara Ma Rabbia — dubbed “one of the best parties in France” by Chismotek. They have curated sets for Rinse France and at clubs across Paris featuring referents in the Latin Club scene such as Cardopusher, MJ Nebreda, and DJ Guapis.

For the second consecutive year, FOG Festival partners with Gatekeeper Radio to share a curated recap of concerts, live sets and SJ sets from its 2025 edition. The selection captures the diversity and intensity of the festival, spanning experimental music, performance, sound art, and club-informed practices. Based in Basel and shaped by an international artistic network, FOG continues to operate as a platform for hybrid formats and interdisciplinary exchange.
