sausy is an Amsterdam-based dj, cultural worker & poetry artist, with a keen ear for percussive unruliness, emotive synths and body-grounding basslines. Centering sensuality, experimentation, playfulness and narrative, they craft soundscapes of intentional eclecticism, a space where steady grooves flirt with surprising twists and turns.
For sausy, deejaying has become a way to pay homage to the Queer & underground dance floors they have found home in, as well as their surinamese heritage and its alignment with afro-diasporic sounds across the world. They are inspired by a range of sounds, including bass music, dub, left-field techno, breaks, and house, often laced with Caribbean & Latin-American rhythms like Dembow & Brazilian funk.
