LORYN is a Berlin-based DJ, producer, label owner, and audio designer known for genre-fluid sets that move between house, techno, breaks, and left-field experimentations. Active in underground music culture since the late 90s, she has built a reputation for emotionally charged performances, instinctive crowd connection, and a nonconforming approach to sound and live experience.
Originally from New York, later influenced by San Francisco’s underground rave scene, and now rooted in Berlin’s electronic music culture since 2016, LORYN blends technical precision with raw energy, combining classic mixing techniques with immersive storytelling and audiovisual sensibilities. Her background in Graphic and Product Design, alongside a second degree in Audio Design completed in Berlin in 2026, informs a multidisciplinary practice focused on bridging sound, emotion, visual space, and technology.
Alongside music production and performance, she has an ongoing interest in interface design, MIDI controllers, and experimental audiovisual systems — exploring new ways of interacting with sound, visuals, and live environments.
Beginning as a folk singer-songwriter before moving into electronic music production and club culture, her work draws influence from a wide spectrum of styles including jazz, funk, rock, experimental electronics, classical composition, and organic textures. Whether behind the decks, developing audiovisual concepts, or running her label and creative platform Caterpillar Audio, LORYN continues to push for innovation, inclusivity, and deeper connection through sound.
