    Chicago to Vitry w/ Loukoum

    • House/Techno
Loukoum is a young DJ from the French scene, whose name pays tribute to Loukoums, DJ Mehdi’s mixtape, itself an homage to Donuts by J Dilla. After nearly 8 years documenting French rap as a journalist and radio host, she now steps behind the decks to assemble her own musical influences. Growing up with hip-hop, her love for house and techno was always present, shaped by the sounds of Chicago & Detroit (Robert Hood, Inner City, Larry Heard) as well as the new UK wave (Mark Blair, Mall Grab, Lemtom). Today, she blends these inspirations into sets where House meets the raw energy of rap—always with one goal in mind: making people dance while telling a story. In this set, you’ll hear a blend of house music infused with strong influences from US hip hop, along with some references to French rap. A groovy and rhythmic journey that bridges different cultures and vibes—enjoy the ride!
